Soccer

The UNC Pembroke women's soccer team will go dancing this year after they took down Belmont Abbey in the Conference Carolina's Championship game this past weekend. A goal 34 seconds in by Ashleigh Harris set the tone for the rest of the match. An Abigail Lowry goal two minutes later set up a comfortable lead for the Braves.

The second half saw the Braves be alert on defense with a quick goal by the Crusaders quickly made it 2-1. This would come to be the final score as the Braves claimed their third straight Conference title and will draw the #7 seed in the Southeast region of the 2023 NCAA Division II women's soccer tournament where they will face #2 seeded Catawba.

The first round is set for tonight at 6 p.m. Best of luck to the team tonight and as always GO BRAVES.
